Page 2 Thursday, January 21, 2010 Wanda J. Collins Wanda J. Collins, 80, of Royal Center passed away at 5"15 p.m., Friday, Janu- 15, 2010 at Logansport Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 6, 1930 in Pulaski, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Harold "Peck" and Geneva (Raderstor0 Smith. On December 7, 1946 she married Claude Collins, he survives. She was a member of Center Presbyterian Church Red Hats Society in Okee- Florida. Wanda was also a homemaker who enjoyed winter- in Florida with her husband of 63 years, fishing, for her family, gardening and baking. include her husband, Claude Collins of Royal Center, daughter, Marsha Lucy and husband Ed of Logansport, sons, Mike Collins and wife Carl of Flower Mound, Texas and Mark and Shelly Collins of Royal Center, brother, Wilbur Smith of Syracuse, sister, Norma Shidler of Winamac, grandchildren, Michelle Baker, Janene Crawford and husband Wally, Holly Wilson and husband Jason, Ashley Collins, Kylie Ridley, Brandon Collins and wife Rebekah, Ryan Collins and wife Kristina and Aaron Collins, and great grandchildren, Haley Baker, Kinzy Crawford, Emma Leigh Wilson, Tyler Collins and Lukas Collins. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Jean Morgan and Betty "Boots" Herald. Services were at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Harrison-Met- zger & Rans Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel. Pastor Bill Kleymann offi- ciated. Tribby Charles Edwin Tribby, 97, Attica, died in St. Anthony Healthcare, Lafayette, on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at 1:25 p.m. Charles was born in Mellott, Indiana, on December 27, 1912. He was the son of the late Colonel Charles and Flora Jane Hatt Tribby. Charles was raised in Mellott and attended Mellott High School. He has lived most of his life in At- tica. Charles had worked as a crane operator for Harrison Steel Castings Company for over 40 years. He raised Polled Hereford cattle. He enjoyed cooking. He was first married to Pearl Marie Wakeland. He later married Hattie Lee Compton Spear on February 20, 1945 in Veedersburg. She preceded him in death on November 20, 1980. Surviving are his children, Edwin "Ed" G. (Anita) Tribby, Royal Center, IN; Charles "Sonny" T. (Kim) Yribby, Attica; Harold R. (Phyllis) Tribby, Lafayette; Robert E. (Sandra) Spear, Indianapolis; Mona Lee (Deiter) Schaller, Munchengladbach, Germany; Anna Kay (Carl) Heninger, Lakewood, CO; Patsy "Petzi" Sue (Lawrence) Duncan, Wingate; Rosemary (Larry) Watts, At- tica; 27 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and several great great grand- children. Friends called at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, January 16th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Duane Mycroft offi- ciating. The purpose of Prenatal Classes is to provide you with information on how to deal with the discomforts of preg- nancy, understand the process of labor and delivery, breathing and relaxation techniques to manage labor, what to expect when you come too the hospi- tal, and how to take care of yourself and the baby after delivery. Parents are encouraged to attend classes any time after your fourth month of preg- nancy. To register, call Patient Services at 574-946-2193 between 8 am and 4 pm Monday through Friday. Please provide your doctor's name, your due date and telephone number. These classes are free if you plan to deliver at PMH. There is a $30 charge if you plan to deliver at another hospital. Prenatal classes are offered seven times a year; four sets of Thursday evening classes and three sets of all day Saturday class. "How your body weight and lifestyle affect your cancer risk/cancer reoccurrence" is the topic at the Can- cervive support group Jan. 26 in the Pulaski Memorial Hospital Confer- ence Center from 4 to 5 pro. The guest speaker will be Ashley Brown, Registered Dietitian and Cer- tified Dietitian. She is a graduate of Purdue University with a master's in Dietetics and minor in Psychology. Ashley is presently employed with Nutrition Services Inc, which is a consultant company of dietitians. I called her for the recipe and realized this was a recipe my mom used when I was a kid and it was one of my favorites. It will probably become one of yours also! Easy Fruit Cobber 2 cans of any fruit pie filling (if you like less fruit, you can use 1) 1 box Jiffy yellow cake mix 1 stick butter 1. Place fruit in bottom of greased 8 X 8 pan. 2. Sprinkle cake mix on top. 3. Cut butter up and place evenly over top of cake mix. 4.
